When setting up your own pop up shop there’s a massive amount of things to figure out but mobile payments system provider, Zettle by PayPal believe they can help take the burden off your shoulders.
Here's how your pop up could benefit from using Zettle by PayPal:
Zettle by PayPal promises to make it super simple for anyone selling face-to-face to accept credit card payments and manage their business. It’s got a super quick and simple sign-up process with no fixed fees or lengthy contracts. For a pop up shop that’s constantly appearing and disappearing that’s essential, as Monster’s Baby Founder, Joe Olswang discovered:
“We have a website but open pop-up shops and go to trade fairs. Zettle by PayPal makes it easy for us to get started. We process all of our payments, including cash, through it. Our Zettle by PayPal account stores pictures of all of our products and keeps track of all purchases.”
Zettle by PayPal believe one of the most important things about opening a physical shop is the making the customer experience outstanding at every touch point. So Zettle by PayPal pride themselves on offering a cool and sleek experience for the customer to pay, which helps create a seamless customer journey. Jamie Laing, founder of fun loving sweetie brand, Candy Kittens is a big advocate of this,
“Everything about Candy Kittens is fresh and forward thinking. We pay great attention to detail and want to make everything from the sweets to the payments process exciting. Zettle by PayPal helps us to keep track of our transactions and allows us to offer our customers a fun way to pay. It is a win-win for us and our customers.”
With that in mind, Appear Here caught up with Marie Wistrand, from Zettle by PayPal to find out more about her favourite retail experiences...
Which shops in your opinion offer a great service?
Usually the smaller ones, for example when you go into the pop-ups at Boxpark you always end up chit chatting about how they started out. The passion and enthusiast about the venture is so real when you’re actually shopping from the business owner her/himself.
Where's your favourite place to go shopping?
I love shopping in Shoreditch. There are so many small shops with fun concepts, from vintage to up and coming designers and thousands of market stalls, it is the place to find the best unique designs. Not to mention that you have great galleries and food trucks with yummier food than a fancy restaurant.
What's your favourite pop up you've visited?
Thats a tricky one! At the moment We Press Play is creating this amazing digital art Cinema event that will screen cult films alongside live art. Also, Churchill’s Port wines - they built a restaurant over three floors in just a couple of weeks and created London’s first pop up Port House.
And the best bit about working for iZettle?
Meeting all of these excited and driven entrepreneurs of course, you get swept away by it to the point where you want them to succeed just as much as they do. Not to mention the intensity and the constant changes that comes along with working for a start-up, especially in tech, but thats what I really enjoy. Your in a constant creative and problem solving mode which I love.
