Marking the brand’s first ever pop-up since its inception in January 2017, Piglet in Bed has opened a cocoon of cosiness in Notting Hill.
The brand produces 100% French flax linen bedding, sleepwear and accessories. An eco-forward concept, Piglet in Bed naturally source their flax in small batches, requiring far less water than cotton and making sure no part of the plant is wasted.
To celebrate the opening, Piglet has collaborated with Instagram favourite artist, Alexandria Coe, on 50 pairs of white Limited Edition pyjamas with embroidered pockets. Alexandria is known for her simple female nude line drawings and even hosted a life drawing class in the space.
The store appears as a bedroom, kitted out with everything you’d need for a good night’s sleep; a bed, sumptuous linen, a whole rail of pyjamas (from baby pinks to rich blues) and eye pillows. Multicoloured cushions line the window, enticing passers-by to stay and slump a while, and overhead a sign reads: “It was such a beautiful day that I decided to stay in bed.”
Upcoming in-store activations include yoga and meditation sessions with YogiYoga and a talk on ‘How to declutter your life’ by Julie Strandberg, a trainee of Marie Kondo.
The furniture used is part of the Found x Appear Here collaboration, which you can rent flexibly for your store. Visit the pop-up at 79-81 Ledbury Road, W11 2AG, from 14th March until 8th April 2019.
