Professional networking site Linkedin may have made it easy for us to comfortably schmooze from the sofa, but they still understand the importance of offline meetups to connect to the characters behind those phantom likes. So much so, they’ve launched a two day pop-up ingeniously called ‘The Linked Inn.’ Inspired by the classic British pub, the space pays homage to the place where so many working (and non-working) relationships are founded organically across the country.
Located near the Silicon Roundabout tech hub, The Linked Inn bridges the gap between recruiters and job seekers but also offers free career advice and tips. The venue has been designed with different areas for socialising, aiming to make the whole networking experience less awkward. Inspiring signs point towards exciting prospects around corners, among the crowds, reading ‘take the next step with a one-to-one conversation.’ A photographer is also onsite offering ’professional makeovers’ (new Linkedin headshots) as well as printed drinks available and 'career advice on tap.’ All free of charge.
Several of the UK’s top companies are actively recruiting from the space, including the John Lewis Partnership, Visa, Lloyds Banking Group, Amazon, Expedia and LADBible.
