We’re excited to announce London’s iconic Old Street Roundabout has been reincarnated as 'Burger Bear’s Magic Roundabout' – this summer’s hotly anticipated pop-up bar and street food market.
After we spotted London-based entrepreneur Tom Reaney’s Kickstarter pitch to find an Old Street location for Burger Bear, we knew the top of Old Street Roundabout would be perfect. Tom, the man behind the famous Burger Bear pop-up and Stokey Bear restaurant, raised £36k through a Kickstarter campaign in 2014 in his quest to create the perfect experience combining music and food. Now, after months of work, Burger Bear’s Magic Roundabout has finally opened it’s doors to the public.
In addition to its iconic burgers, Burger Bear Tom (as the founder is commonly known) will be offering hot dogs, chicken wings and other snacks. His friends from from Prawnography will be serving lunchtime and evening food options including their signature 12-inch Giant Black Sea Tiger Prawns, Grilled Sardines and Crab Meat Fries.
Drinks will be taken care of by the team from Macintyre Coffee that bring to the Roundabout their new project Relax serving specialty coffee roasted by Modern Standard, before offering a selection of beers, wines, and cocktails developed in conjunction with a Hoxton cocktail bar White Lyan.
One of the key elements of the whole project is the music and Burger Bear will be curating the beats across the venue and will house its very own DJ booth in the middle of the site.
When we first partnered with TfL in 2014 to reinvent retail in Old Street Station, our mission was to help inspiring ideas like Tom's transform the way people used Old Street Station. Burger Bear's Magic Roundabout will bring a whole new experience to the top of the roundabout and we're excited to see this disused space come to life.
The Magic Roundabout will be open every day from 7am to 11pm.
