Find space for pop up shops Bloomsbury & Fitzrovia

A village vibe conceals a rich academic ancestry

Bloomsbury churns out illustrious alumni at an alarming rate – Virginia Woolf and Maynard Keynes to name but two. The presence of University College London and the tremendous British Museum nearby probably has something to do with it. But no more than the district itself, whose calm squares and independent bookshops hum with the collective intellect of students and bankers.

The pace varies at the district’s edges: Tottenham Court Road is one of London’s busiest roads, and the eclectic Charlotte Street – lined with media and advertising agencies – is populated with business people on ‘Boris bikes’, most of whom push the rules of ‘smart-casual’ to breaking point.Look for a space to rent or enquire about doing pop up shops in Bloomsbury today.

Word on the street

I love the sense of history in the area and it has my favourite coffeeshop in London – Fork. It provides the perfect break from studies.
Lydia, Student
It's a mix of old and new. With the university based here it always feels like there's fresh blood around, but it's also such an historic area.
Dominic, Musician
This is an iconic part of London. It's what the city is all about. Full of international people with a quintessentially English twist.
